For the past ten years, What Took You So Long? has been more than a production company for me — it’s been home. It’s where I found not only my voice as a filmmaker, but a chosen family of collaborators, mentors, and friends.
Together, we’ve crossed borders, climbed mountains (literal and otherwise), and built a way of working rooted in curiosity, care, and deep respect for the people whose stories we help tell. We've shared tents, editing timelines, night buses, and the quiet joy of knowing we’re doing the work we believe in, with people we trust.

WTYSL specializes in human-centered storytelling — often in places that are overlooked or misrepresented. We work with grassroots movements, global organizations, and local creatives to produce films and campaigns that are both emotionally honest and strategically sharp. Whether filming in refugee camps, conflict zones, or remote villages, the goal is always the same: to listen closely, represent truthfully, and deliver work that moves people — and moves the needle.
Over the years, I’ve learned just how much intention it takes to do this kind of work well. At WTYSL, nothing is rushed, and nothing is extractive. We build relationships before we build productions. And that makes all the difference.
